GERALD L. SALING MEMORIAL ROTARY SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
 
 
The Rotary Club of Spokane North will award two (2) $1,500 scholarships to students who will be (or are) enrolled in an accredited college or university.  This may be used for tuition, board, room or any other required school fee.   The applicants shall be evaluated based on the established guidelines, without discrimination because of race, creed, gender or national origin. Extra consideration may be given to a relative of a Rotarian.
 
 
ELIGIBILITY: An applicant must:
 
  1. Be a high school graduate or enrolled college student by the end of this school year. 
 
  1. Be a resident of Spokane County.
 
  1. Have an overall 3.00 GPA.
 
  1. Have applied to or are enrolled in an accredited postsecondary educational program.
 
  1. Students may reapply each year, yet only be awarded once.
 
 
APPLICANT:
 
  1. Must complete the application (typed) and email it to Dr. James E. Minkler at jelton2011@hotmail.com.
 
 
  1. Attach two (2) letters of recommendation from current school faculty members with the completed application to the email.
 
  1. Send an electronic copy of high school or college transcript (can be scanned).
 
 
Applications must be received by April 30th, 2016.   Final selection of recipients will be made  by the Scholarship Committee of the Rotary Club of Spokane North. The award is to be used toward the student’s school expenses and will be awarded in June, 2016.
