Holmes choir brings holiday spirit

A dozen Holmes students, under the direction of Rebecca Meek, brought energy, enthusiasm and Christmas spirit to the large ballroom at The Lincoln Center as the club celebrated at its Dec. 12 annual holiday luncheon.

A number of spouses and guests joined members in the nicely decorated venue.  Holmes Principal Stephanie Lundberg graciously thanked the club for all of its efforts to support Holmes students and their families.

President-elect Chad Haverkamp coordinated the luncheon planning. Two Holmes students joined each table as “special guests.”  Past District Gov. Lloyd Gray, a Club 21 member long active in his club’s and the district’s international committee work, thanked the club for supporting the portable lap desk program in Malawi.

The Holmes choir, backed with computerized musical accompaniment, filled the large hall with strong voices.  Their concert was rewarded with a standing ovation.
